Crystal J. Miller launches her bid for Wisconsin State Assembly, District 65, Kenosha

by | May 6, 2020

Kenosha, Wisconsin — Longtime Kenosha community advocate and Republican, Crystal J. Miller, announced her candidacy for the Wisconsin State Assembly, District 65 on Wednesday, May 6. She delivered her message live via Facebook. The announcement can be viewed at facebook.com/crystalforassembly. or here ->

“I love this city,” Miller said, “I love how we cooperate. We get things done here. Business, economic development, government, education, non-profits, social service agencies, we work together and we get things done. Yet there are still so many things that we can accomplish. We need to create more opportunities, especially for those who have less privilege.”

Crystal told her virtual crowd about how she and her husband lost their business and started over in 2009 and she acknowledged the Safer at Home order and empathized with people who see their lives crumbling under the financial strain of the current public health crisis.

Miller said that she isn’t a politician but that she wants to represent District 65 for Wisconsin. She assured her viewers, “I promise that I will continue to fight for the people of this city, whether you send me to Madison or not, I will fight for you.”

Crystal is the owner and President of Frontida Assisted Living, which operates 7 facilities throughout Wisconsin. She has been engaged in non-profit work for many years, serving on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha, the Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services, Inc. and the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association. She also serves at the Leadership Table for Building our Future and was instrumental in establishing 100+ Women Who Care Kenosha.

Crystal was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018 by the Kenosha Area Business Alliance and is proud of the work environment and culture that she has created at Frontida, being named a Top Workplace by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for the last six years.
